ILLUTHERM is developing a groundbreaking technology to heat materials like steel or ceramics efficiently and sustainably, using blue light. Our mission is to decarbonize industrial heating processes, offering a cleaner alternative to traditional furnaces that are powered by fossil fuels. Instead, we are using the power of blue light from LEDs, that is translated into heat when absorbed by a material. This process is not only a 1000 times faster – it can also reduce CO2 emissions significantly, as our technology can be operated with renewable energy sources.
